A Petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the Richfield City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a parcel of land belonging to Derek Stokes and Sharlee Stokes, and located along 1950 South and west of Airport Road, more specifically described as follows:
BEGINNING AT A POINT WHICH IS LOCATED NORTH 00°01’54” WEST 1034.18 FEET AND SOUTH 89°37’33” EAST 647.91 FEET FROM THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION 2, T.24 S., R.3 W., S.L.B. & M., SAID POINT BEING ON THE SOUTH LINE OF TAX PARCEL 1-10-31; RUNNING THENCE SOUTH 00°30’00” EAST 282.03 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 89°37’33” EAST 233.53 FEET; THENCE NORTH 00°30’00” WEST 282.03 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF TAX PARCEL 1-10-31; THENCE NORTH 89°37’33” WEST 233.53 FEET ALONG SOUTH LINE OF TAX PARCEL 1-10-31 TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING 1.51 ACRES.
Notice of certification was received by the Richfield City Council on April 5, 2021. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Richfield City Recorder.
Richfield City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with the Boundary Commission at 250 North Main, Richfield, Utah 84701, and a copy of the protest delivered to the Richfield City Recorder by May 5, 2021. A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body or the governing board of an affected entity (or for a proposed annexation of an area within a county of the first class if it contains the signatures of the owners of real property that: (1) is located in the unincorporated area within 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area with 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real property located in the unincorporated area within 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation).
