PUBLIC NOTICE
A Petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the Richfield City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a parcel of land belonging to RM24, LLC, and located along 1300 South and 550, more specifically described as follows:
A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IN THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 23 SOUTH, RANGE 3 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN, AND THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 24 SOUTH, RANGE 3 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN, IN SEVIER COUNTY, UTAH, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE RICHFIELD CITY BOUNDARY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 1300 SOUTH STREET, SAID POINT BEING S89°49’13″W 975.92 FEET ALONG THE SECTION LINE AND SOUTH 26.71 FEET FROM THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 24 SOUTH, RANGE 3 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN; THENCE ALONG RICHFIELD CITY BOUNDARY N88°00’27″W 188.91 FEET; THENCE N00°11’01″W 328.92 FEET; THENCE N60°57’46″E 217.14 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 440.88 FEET, MORE OR LESS TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 1.67 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.
Notice of certification was received by the Richfield City Council on September 1, 2021. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Richfield City Recorder.
Richfield City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with the Boundary Commission at 250 North Main, Richfield, Utah 84701, and a copy of the protest delivered to the Richfield City Recorder by October 1, 2021. A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body or the governing board of an affected entity (or for a proposed annexation of an area within a county of the first class if it contains the signatures of the owners of real property that: (1) is located in the unincorporated area within 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area with 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real property located in the unincorporated area within 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation).
