Help Enhance Downtown

Published: September 6, 2023

You have a chance to help create something that will be a visible part of Richfield City for years.

Volunteers are needed to help paint a mural in the Richfield Main Street pocket park. Starting Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m. until dark, the city is seeking help in painting a mural that will cover two of the park’s walls. Work will continue Monday through Thursday until the mural is completed. Hours will vary on Fridays and Saturdays. Volunteers just need to show up and be ready to paint.

For the past couple of months, using grant money Richfield City has been transforming a vacant lot into an area for people to enjoy while visiting the downtown area.

The park is designed to add visual appeal to Main Street and to provide a place to sit and relax or eat lunch.

Designed by local artist Kaitlyn Jensen, the mural will cover two walls of the park – adding color and flourish to downtown.

This is a once in a lifetime chance to contribute to what will become an attraction on Main Street for years to come.
